Crude is a free brutalist display font created by Jun Han Sim
While I was creating my second font - Block, the idea of Crude emerged. It’s basically answering the question of what if I removed all the curves and construct the font simply with thick horizontal and vertical slabs, closely stacked together? The end result is a font that feels like a tetris block, and resembles the brutalist-like architecture designs. While creating this font, I also took inspiration from artworks by @daan_rietbergen on Instagram, on forming the base of the character designs.
Crude font comes with basic latin characters including uppercase, lowercase, numbers and selected punctuations.
If you use it the sentencve looks like a strange line

The “Crude” font is far from crude!
Really love this stylized font! You certainly can’t beat the price! While it’s not for everyone, we see applications for “Crude” in brutalist and avant-garde projects. Of course, your mileage may vary.
