Born out of curiosity about the origins of a band logo, the Integrity typeface from Rafael Nascimento, revives the enigmatic style of an era when dry transfers and phototypesetting reigned. Through meticulous research, it was traced back to a typeface called Radical, designed by Lizabeth Brenner and released by Chartpak in 1986, a period synonymous with punk and crossover hardcore aesthetics. This font has graced the covers and zines of the hardcore music scene, eternally linked with pioneers of the genre.
Resurrecting Radical required extensive image restoration, as only a handful of reference materials existed. The digital revival of this font enriches its analog charm by offering a complete set of alternate letters and Latin diacritics, rendering it immensely versatile for modern use. Despite its heritage, Integrity is adaptable, elevating large titles and logos with its decidedly gritty flair.
